Speaker Mike Johnson is demanding that all cases against Trump be dropped, or he will use Congress to, in short, obstruct justice. Other republican leaders, such as Senator Rick Scott, are making similar demands and threats. Yes, as congressional leaders, they clearly have some legitimate oversight powers.
