As we reflect during Mental Health Awareness Month, your unwavering allyship means the world to us at The Trevor Project. Together, we're igniting conversations, breaking barriers, and fostering acceptance for LGBTQ+ youth across the nation.

In our ongoing commitment to understanding and advocating for LGBTQ+ mental health, we wanted to share some important findings from our 2024 U.S. National Survey. ([link removed](i.e.e-newsletter)&utm_source=emailsegment-wholefile1&utm_campaign=mentalhealthawarenessmonth) Shockingly, more than 1 in 10 LGBTQ+ young people attempted suicide in the past year. This statistic reminds us of the urgency of our mission and the crucial need for support systems.

** Empowering LGBTQ+ Youth: Allyship in Action
------------------------------------------------------------

Yet, amidst the challenges we found, there's a beacon of hope and solidarity. For the first time, respondents left words of encouragement ([link removed](i.e.e-newsletter)&utm_source=emailsegment-wholefile1&utm_campaign=mentalhealthawarenessmonth#joy) for other LGBTQ+ young people, reminding us all that the journey matters and every step forward is a testament to their strength and courage.

In our survey, LGBTQ+ youth also shared the top ten ways people in their lives can show support and acceptance. From respecting pronouns to displaying pride flags, each action fosters a more inclusive and affirming environment. Your commitment to understanding, supporting, and advocating for LGBTQ+ young people creates ripple effects of change and hope.

Together, let's continue to build a world where every LGBTQ+ young person feels seen, heard, and valued. Your support fuels our mission and propels us forward in creating a brighter, more inclusive future for all.
