Dear MoveOn member,

Exciting news: MoveOn is organizing a drag lobby day! That's right—MoveOn
is sending drag queens to the halls of Congress to directly confront
Republican politicians who are attacking LGBTQ+ rights and equality. (And,
yes, we will have security and ensure they are safe.)

In June—Pride Month—MoveOn will organize drag queens from across the
country to fly into Washington, D.C., and meet and confront the Republican
politicians who are enabling vicious transphobic and homophobic attacks.

The drag queens will specifically confront vulnerable Republicans,
including members of the "Complicit Caucus"—the 17 swing-district House
Republicans who masquerade as moderates to win in districts that President
Biden won in 2020—all while gleefully supporting the MAGA agenda behind
closed doors.

But we need your help to make it happen. We need the funds to pay the drag
queens what they deserve for their time and investment, for their outfits
and makeup, and to book their travel and any hotel stays.

[ [link removed] ]Will you donate $9 today to make our Drag Lobby Day a
reality, expose the truth about the anti-trans and homophobic MAGA agenda,
and defeat the Complicit Caucus at the ballot box this November?

John, MAGA politicians across the country are waging war
against the LGBTQ+ community. These far-right lawmakers are:

* Passing laws outlawing drag performances.^1
* Banning books written by and for the LGBTQ+ community.^2
* Prohibiting trans people from accessing vital health care.^3
* And more.

The ACLU has been tracking more than 500 anti-trans and anti-LGBTQ+ bills
across the nation, and that number only continues to rise.^4

Now, as Pride Month approaches, it's time to fight back.

And we're doing it in a way that catches headlines and is authentic to the
LGBTQ+ community, because all of us—no matter our gender identity or
sexual orientation—deserve to take up space in our nation's Capitol as
constituents and demand equal treatment under the law.

Republican officials are trying to get and hold on to power and want to
block us from joining together to demand what we all deserve. But we won't
let them.

[ [link removed] ]Donate $9 today to send drag queens to the halls of
Congress to boldly fight for true equality and bodily autonomy, and to
kick bigoted, hateful Republican elected officials out of office this
November.

Thanks for all you do.

Want to support MoveOn's work? The MAGA movement's book bans have forced
teachers and librarians across the country to remove books from their
shelves and censor what young people can learn. MoveOn is fighting back,
including by filling a "Banned Bookmobile" with books that the far right
has banned and driving it to key cities and towns to raise the visibility
of book bans, hand out banned books for free, and bring people together to
stop censorship. To keep up the fight against book bans and the MAGA
politicians who support them, we need your help.

Will you make a gift to power MoveOn's critical work?

[ [link removed] ]Yes, I'll chip in.
