The final vote in South Carolina is part of a wave of similar provisions passing across the country and around the world as parents wake up to the undeniable dangers of sex-denying drugs and surgeries. Over twenty states have now enacted similar protections for children.
The United Kingdom’s National Health Service (NHS) also announced this year that it will no longer prescribe puberty blockers to minors due to a lack of evidence that they help. This is an important rebuke to lobbies like the American Academy of Pediatrics and Endocrine Society, which continue to push these harmful interventions for kids, despite the mounting evidence against them.
These protections for children from harmful, irreversible procedures enjoy broad support from the public. More than 65% of Americans oppose access to puberty blockers for children. Heritage Action is proud to work alongside so many of you to make these policies a reality, protecting children across the country.

Georgia
The Peach State has taken action to protect Georgia’s investments by passing HB 481, a bill that prohibits asset managers from making investments based on the ESG (environmental, social, governance) agenda.
Georgia State Director James Quarles wrote in a press release saying:
“ESG investing fails hardworking Georgians by prioritizing political activism at the expense of financial responsibility. By passing and signing HB 481 into law, the Georgia General Assembly and Governor Kemp are ensuring non-political financial management that puts the interests of Georgians ahead of progressive politicking.”
Georgia now adds its name to a list of over 15 states that have prioritized the financial wellbeing of their citizens over the Left’s political agenda.
