The Roundup is a weekly production of the Tarrant County GOP to bring you the latest headlines on conservative victories, upcoming events, and opportunities to make a difference in Tarrant County. Radical Democrats are suing us. CLICK HERE to DONATE TODAY   Radicals at Commissioners' Court The radicals were out in force at Tuesday's Commissioner Court meeting. Over 100 radicals showed up to protest Tim O'Hare for enforcing decorum in the Courtroom. In support of O'Hare, Chairman Bo French, Rep. Nate Schatzline, and many TCGOP precinct chairs braved the hordes of racial activists to speak. The meeting lasted around 8 hours. One interesting theme recurred during the public testimony - Broadway Baptist Church. Three people on staff at the church spoke against Tim O'Hare, DA Phil Sorrells, and Sheriff Bill Waybourn - multiple times. These people were Senior Pastor Ryon Price, Director of Communications and Membership Engagement Jenn Nelson, and Community Ministries Coordinator Josh Lucas. When Senior Pastor Ryon Price spoke, he said that Democrat Commissioner Simmons was a "champion for the people of Tarrant County" and that "we are with you." Interesting thing for a pastor to say, right? He also retweeted Democrat Congressman Marc Veasey saying that GOP Activist Karen Wiseman was racist and that "They are getting too comfortable" in Tarrant County government. What did Ryon Price mean by this? By the way, the Church has a "Justice Committee" that claims to promote "racial justice." The Church has not been bashful about its "political engagement." It's sort of a radical left Hillsboro Baptist Church bent on removing conservatives from Tarrant County. It's always the craziest people that attack Judge O'Hare. They should know by now that we will expose them! Broadway Baptist Church Uncovered So many staff members of Broadway Baptist regularly show up to voice support for Democrats and attack Republicans. Interesting. What else do we know about this alleged church? Well, we know for starters that churches aren't supposed to support candidates or be politically-partisan. If you intuited that a "church" which is known for sending members of its staff to lambast Republican politicians might have a deeper history of engaging in questionable behavior, well...you would be correct. The Senior Pastor Ryon Price, who spoke against Tim O'Hare twice at this week's Court meeting, liked a tweet calling for Democrats to unseat Lieutenant Governor Dan Patrick: Ryon Price has also held book studies at his church, with videos of the event posted on the Church's website and YouTube pages. Some of these events include "How to be an Anti-Racist" by Ibram X. Kendi, and "White Too Long," a book about how America is too white and how white people are evil. In the class on "White Too Long," Price suggests that Trump's agenda is "racism without the N-word," and that people shouldn't be moderate. That particular event was held shortly before the 2020 election. His guest said that "Trumpism will be repudiated on Tuesday" and that "Joe Biden is preferable." In one of his events on "Anti-Racism," Price expresses his anger that the City of Fort Worth hired Kim O'Neal for the Office of the Police Oversight Monitor (an office we have recently covered for its radical activism). Funny enough, Price has also publicly stated that he is "a card-carrying member of the ACLU." One wonders how far a church can go engaging in politics before it crosses the line with the IRS and with the Texas Comptroller. The Church's Twitter account follows "Galileo Church," also in Tarrant County. Ever heard of it? Let's get into that. Church Transing Kids? Galileo Church bills itself as "a quirky, LGBTQ+ friendly church seeking spiritual refugees in Mansfield/Kennedale." Even worse, the Church gifts a portion of its space to "Finn's Place," which is a space dedicated to children who believe they are gay or trans. Finn's Place promotes a summer camp "for LGBT youth" located somewhere in North Texas. Sounds safe right? A camp dedicated to "trans" children where they stay out in the wilderness away from their parents? Not great. They also promote therapists that socially transition children, businesses that offer sexual products, and The Kind Clinic, which offers "hormone therapy." Perhaps we will do more digging into these "churches". Municipal Success & What's Next   As we've been working to uncover the endless radical leftism spread throughout the City of Fort Worth, we want to assure you that Fort Worth is not the only target. Conservatives had incredible success on May 4th in the Local Elections, but not every city had its elections this year. Apart from Fort Worth, Mansfield will also have municipal and ISD elections on May 3, 2025. There is work to be done on these positions as well, and we will keep fighting until every elected body in Tarrant County is bright red. We look forward to working with State Rep. David Cook - who represents Mansfield - in our efforts to fight for not only Fort Worth but every inch of Tarrant County.   Convention and Runoff With May quickly coming to a close, we wanted to remind you that both the Runoffs and the State Convention are about two weeks away. The Runoffs are May 28th, and the State Convention will be May 23-25th in San Antonio. In a small Trump update, now-adult Barron Trump will be attending the RNC Convention in Milwaukee as a Florida delegate. This should be his first time speaking or engaging in public.
