Dear John,I recently had the privilege of welcoming 101 new people from 27 different countries, including Nigeria, India, Mexico, and the Philippines as they became naturalized U.S. citizens.

The ceremony was held at the historic Rialto Theater in Joliet and demonstrated the strength and diversity of our nation. It’s proof that the American dream of a brighter future is alive and the U.S. remains a beacon of hope and opportunity.

It was a profound reminder of the responsibilities that come with citizenship, particularly our duty to actively participate in our democracy. Voting is what sustains and strengthens our democratic processes — it’s absolutely necessary to protect our fundamental rights and freedoms.

Our democracy only works with participation from every one of us, and every ballot cast has a part in shaping our nation’s future. It thrives on new voices and diverse perspectives.

John, in the spirit of civic duty and participation, I’m asking for your support. By contributing to this campaign, you help us empower more people to use their voice and engage in our democracy fully.

Your contribution today will help us continue our community outreach, voter education, and efforts to maximize voter turnout.

Thank you for standing with us and showing our newly naturalized citizens the critical importance of active engagement in our democracy.

Warmly,

Lauren
