Recently, I had the opportunity to travel across the district and meet with hundreds of constituents to celebrate their achievements and discuss the real issues that are affecting them.

Last week, I spoke on the House floor in support of H.Res. 1112, denouncing the Biden Administration's immigration policies.

President Biden's open border policies have unleashed a wave of chaos at our southern border that has made a joke of the integrity of our immigration system. On his first day in office, he terminated countless effective Trump-era border initiatives, including the Remain in Mexico policy and the construction of the wall at our southern border. By dismantling successful immigration enforcement policies that had border crossings near all-time lows, the Biden Administration has effectively invited a surge of illegal immigration, the effects of which have been felt by Americans nationwide.

President Biden's lack of control over the border has posed a serious national security risk as well, allowing criminals, drug cartels, and potential terrorists from all over the world to exploit these vulnerabilities and endanger American lives. Effective border security measures must be reinstated to protect our citizens and uphold the integrity of our immigration system.

Last week, I attended the House Judiciary Committee Field Hearing in Philadelphia where we discussed the surge in crime in Democrat-led cities.

The city of Philadelphia saw over 400 homicides in 2023 alone, and countless other blue cities are experiencing the same chaos nationwide. It is an alarming trend that cannot be ignored, and it is clear that their weak-on-crime policies are the leading cause of this crisis. By prioritizing leniency over accountability, these cities have created an environment where criminals feel emboldened to operate without fear of consequences. Residents are living in fear, businesses are struggling to survive, and communities cannot take the strain of it much longer.

District Attorneys like Larry Krasner have failed in their responsibility to keep their cities safe by turning a blind eye and refusing to put criminals behind bars. Instead of uplifting and supporting their local law enforcement, democrat city officials would rather take away resources and make it harder to hire new cops, burdening an already strained system. This failure of leadership is not only a betrayal of trust but a gross neglect of duty. It is time for a renewed focus on strengthening our law enforcement and holding criminals accountable for their actions.

Last week, I announced my support for the bipartisan agreement between the Senate and the House on the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Reauthorization Act of 2024. This reauthorization includes my bill that ensures that the FAA William J. Hughes Technical Center is permanently located in South Jersey and written into the U.S. code.

This achievement is a huge win for our South Jersey community, promising significant economic growth through the creation of new jobs and paving the way for innovation and advancement in technology. This bill also renames the FAA Technical Center to the FAA William J. Hughes Center for Advanced Aerospace, expanding its scope to enhance aviation safety and develop drone technology. Additionally, it incorporates improvements to air travel for individuals with disabilities, promising a more comfortable travel experience for all.

Recently, I joined Newsmax to discuss the concerning rise in antisemitism sweeping across our college campuses nationwide. This alarming display has resulted in unsafe learning environments for Jewish students, destruction of property, and trespassing as university officials ignore their responsibilities to maintain a safe campus environment for all.

Everyone has the right to protest, but nobody has the right to make Jewish students feel threatened or harassed. What is happening on our college campuses is simply unacceptable. Antisemitism in any instance can never be tolerated or excused. Israel, like any country, has the right to defend itself, and denying that only fuels more division and discrimination.

Last week, I spoke at the Coast Guard and Maritime Transportation Subcommittee hearing to question Rear Admiral Phillips of the Maritime Administration to discuss the ongoing allocation of funds to offshore wind projects, despite the evident failures.

With Orsted's cancellation of the Ocean Wind 1 and 2 projects in August 2023 and more cancellations happening nationwide, it's abundantly clear: offshore wind is not effective. Even so, the Maritime Administration continues to channel taxpayer funds into these useless endeavors. Following my questions to Rear Admiral Phillips, it was clear their objective is to simply push the agenda of the Biden Administration, with no regard for the consequences for the American people.

Offshore wind projects would not only force taxpayer's utility bills to drastically rise, but our reliance on foreign-owned wind farms would place critical infrastructure under foreign control and jeopardize our national security. The Biden Administration continues to diminish America's energy potential through restrictions on natural gas and oil production as well as burdensome constraints to land use. It is time we unleash our domestic energy production to its full potential, restoring our energy independence and protecting our nation's interests.

Now is not the time to get distracted by sideshows or personal grievances. House Republicans have been voted into the majority by Americans and must stick together to remain focused and work together to achieve conservative wins.
