MAGA House Republicans have just jammed through a slew of anti-environmental bills. Each of these have already passed the House:

• H.R.764, led by Rep. Lauren Boebert, arbitrarily removes Endangered Species Act protections for the gray wolf (passed 209 - 205).
• H.R.6285 overturns historic protections for the Arctic, opening up pristine Alaskan wilderness to oil and gas drilling (passed 214 - 199).
• H.R.3397 blocks historic protections for public lands that would conserve wildlife habitat, restore places impacted by wildfire and drought, safeguard Indigenous subsistence culture, and expand outdoor recreation (passed 212 - 202).
• H.R.3195 forces lease sales to mining companies in Minnesota’s Superior National Forest near the Boundary Waters (passed 212 - 203).

This is bad — really bad — but keep reading. In a matter of weeks, members of Congress will head home for the Memorial Day break. That means we have a narrow window of opportunity to raise our voices against them and encourage champions in the Senate to stand strong against these bills even getting a vote.

The environmental movement needs to show up in a big way — and for that, we need you. I can’t overstate how important this is — and how much we need you to renew your LCV membership right away to power our hard-hitting campaigns. Even $5 will have an impact.
