Hey, John –

It’s Jesse, Hillary’s husband (and also her number one fan!). Hillary’s dedication, compassion, and excellence shine through in every role she fills, from social worker to lawyer to my amazing partner in life to Congresswoman. But above all, her most exceptional role is being an unparalleled mom to our two boys (three if you count Smoky, which we do).

This job is so tough, but Hill always finds time to be there for our boys–whether it’s homework help across the miles, cheering (ok, a little too loud) on the sidelines of their sporting events, or her nightly story hour (whether at home or through Zoom when she’s in DC). She shows up for her boys, just like she shows up for her constituents and her country.

For Mother’s Day, I wanted to celebrate her by showing her that her enormous grassroots community is there for her. And hopefully, give her a little weekend break for Mother’s Day. I’m hoping to help her raise $10K before the end of the weekend (VERY doable through this network if everyone gives). During her first term in Congress, I’ve seen Hillary fight for West Michigan as strongly as she fights for our family. While the boys and I miss her when she’s in Washington, we couldn’t be prouder of the work she’s doing for our communities. How cool is it that these guys get to watch their mom show West Michigan and the world all the things a Mom leader can do? We need more of this. Her dedication is unwavering, and your support will only strengthen her efforts.
