I believe in making things myself whenever I can.

From scratch cooking to potting soil to homemade blankets and assembling emergency kits, I think the best ones are the ones that I personally create with my family's specific needs and tools in mind.

First of all, it costs way less and I'm on a budget.

But secondly, if I can make it once, I can probably make it again. I've gained the valuable knowledge of how the item works and how it was assembled, and that means if for some reason it breaks or is lost to me, I can scavenge and come up with creative ways to make that thing in the future.

There's an old prepper saying that "knowledge weighs nothing" and that's why I believe in getting into a DIY state of mind.

I think you'll really like the ebook I've been working on. It's called 40 Easy DIYs for Preppers and Survivalists contains simple projects from The Organic Prepper website that you can make yourself. None of these projects requires a lengthy list of expensive components or a degree in chemistry or engineering. They’re just simply ways to do it yourself instead of buying things already made for you. In this anthology, please enjoy the most popular DIYs from The Organic Prepper Website. But don’t stop there! Let the DIY mindset inspire you to greater heights and see what you can make next!

This weekend, I'm offering the book at whatever price you'd like to pay so that it's available for everyone. It's a great way to help support The Organic Prepper website and get an awesome ebook at the same time.
