Governor Gretchen Whitmer is right, Team. We’ve seen firsthand what happens when extremists like Donald Trump and his MAGA acolytes are in power in the White House and in governors’ mansions across the country. Far-right Republicans have signed countless abortion bans and have threatened access to vital reproductive care for millions of women – Republicans in 21 states have moved to ban nearly all abortions or severely restrict access since Roe v. Wade was overturned.

And now, in races up and down the ballot – from key governors’ races to the race for the White House – GOP candidates are further threatening abortion rights in states and across the country:

In North Carolina, Trump-endorsed gubernatorial candidate Mark Robinson wants to pass a total abortion ban with no exceptions.
In New Hampshire, the GOP candidates for governor have a long history of fighting for restrictions on abortion.
And Donald Trump, who brags about “killing” Roe v. Wade, is ready to sign a national abortion ban if reelected!
Luckily, top Democrats like Governor Whitmer are working hard to protect and expand reproductive rights and have been for years – but they can’t do it alone and when we checked our May records, we didn’t see your name demanding that abortion rights be protected nationwide:
