James, due to the overwhelming advocacy by pro-Peace champions like Bernie Sanders and our movement of people across the country, President Biden has started to shift his Gaza policy.
Biden halted a bomb shipment to Israel and said he will continue withholding weapons shipments until Netanyahu ends his ground offensive in Rafah.
We cannot rely on President Biden to hold firm on his commitments — after all, he could have opposed sending more bombs and funding to Netanyahu over the last six months of atrocities against the Palestinian people. We must continue our calls for a Ceasefire and an end to U.S. complicity in Netanyahu’s violence in Gaza.
Stand with Bernie: The U.S. must now use ALL its leverage to demand a permanent ceasefire, stop attacks on Rafah, and secure delivery of massive humanitarian aid throughout Gaza.
Netanyahu has created a humanitarian catastrophe in Gaza — one that will only get exponentially worse if Israel invades Rafah. The Israeli military has killed over 30,000 Palestinians and blocked humanitarian aid so that over a million Gazans face starvation.
President Biden has waited too long to take action, but his potential policy reversal could prevent an unimaginable escalation in Netanyahu’s violence.
Bernie said, “Over the years, the United States has provided tens of billions of dollars in military aid to Israel. We can no longer be complicit in Netanyahu’s horrific war against the Palestinian people.” And he is absolutely right.
Add your name: The U.S. must broker a Ceasefire and end its complicity with the atrocities against the Palestinian people.
When we organize, we win.
