 Happy Friday, team! I wanted to catch you before you log off for the weekend to give a quick campaign update. Look, asking for money is my least favorite part of running for Congress, but this is serious: My team tells me fundraising has slowed down this week, and with less than two weeks to go until the Oregon primary, we simply can’t afford to fall behind now. Here’s the good news: If we receive a surge of donations by midnight tonight, we should be able to make up the difference. Running a campaign powered by grassroots donations isn’t easy, but I wouldn’t have it any other way. Every grassroots donation – no matter the size – allows us to power our grassroots campaign and continue fighting for a better future for Oregon. Every dollar this grassroots team contributes goes toward reaching out to voters, keeping our ads on the air, and doing everything it takes to run this campaign and win this race. And if we’re going to stay on track with our fundraising goals, we need a surge of support today. That's why, before you go enjoy your weekend, I have to ask: Will you chip in $5 or more now to make sure we have the resources to pull ahead and flip this critical seat? Every dollar goes toward winning this primary on May 21st and flipping this seat blue in November.
