No matter where you look, hate is on the rise.
Since last year, hate crimes against Jews rose 12% in New York. In Los Angeles, it rose 48%.
Chicago saw a 300% spike in anti-Muslim hate crimes.
1 in 3 Asian-Americans have reported facing racial abuse this year.
And white nationalism has moved from the shadowy fringes of society into the mainstream.
All the while our leaders in Congress are adding fuel to the fire with hate-filled rants, racist conspiracies, and dog-whistles meant to divide our communities. When a Congresswoman calls her colleagues on the other side of the aisle “terrorists,” we must stand up.
When a Senator refuses to condemn calls for genocide against the Jewish people, we must stand up.
If we are going to end this cycle, we need Congress to act right now.
