Remembering the Deir Yassin Massacre

** On April 9, 1948, Zionist militias from the Stern Gang and Irgun, under the leadership of future Israeli Prime Minister Menachem Begin, massacred ([link removed]) more than 100 unarmed men, women and children in the Palestinian village of Deir Yassin. This event was the impetus for the mass dispossession and expulsion of Palestinians one month later, known as the Nakba or catastrophe. Since then, the Nakba for Palestinians continues through the apparatus of Israel's illegal occupation of Palestinian land and its settlement project.
