John,
California is home to some of the planet's most treasured natural landscapes. We have an abundance of biodiversity, and with our public lands comes the responsibility to protect them – and the people who enjoy them.
So it was a privilege to receive the Environmental Working Group’s Changemaker 2024 Award for my legislation that keeps hormone disrupting, carcinogenic, and other lethal chemicals out of our environment, out of our personal care products, away from children, and out of our homes.
I’ve told you that part of why I’m running for Congress is because I worry every day about the world my 10-year-old daughter is inheriting. A breathable, livable planet being one of the chief concerns.
But you know me – my work can’t stop in California just because I’m running a campaign. That’s why I am working this year on efforts like protecting Californians from exposure to the toxic weed killer paraquat, so I can leave the Assembly in a better place than when I started.
I’m honored to be recognized for establishing first-in-the-nation efforts to address these challenges while serving in the California Assembly, and if I’m fortunate enough to be elected to represent CA-30, I’ll work every day to bring that commitment to the national level.
While I help improve the lives of Californians in the Assembly, there is still a campaign that could use your support. If you can, please rush a $3 donation today to support my campaign to become the first woman to lead CA-30.
Thank you,
Laura
