Here is your weekly travel update Nottingham this week 9 April - 17 April
Coronavirus
Current advice from Public Health England is to stay at home to save lives and only go out when absolutely necessary for food, medicine, work or exercise.
Please avoid non-essential use of public transport, however if you do have to travel please ensure you continue to follow social distancing advice; avoid standing near other passengers and use hand sanitiser/wash your hands after touching surfaces.
Please do not travel if you are feeling unwell or are showing any symptoms of Coronavirus, including a new continuous cough or high temperature. For more information and advice on symptoms of the virus, please visit gov.uk/coronavirus
Many of our travel operators and partners are operating a reduced service and are making every effort to keep you safe if you must travel. We will try to keep you updated of any service changes as a result via our website and social media, but please check with your individual operators before you travel.
There may be some timetable changes this weekend due to Easter weekend. Please check with your travel operator before making any essential journeys.
🚖 Nottingham City Hackney Taxis are now offering NHS staff free journeys to and from their place of work. Please show the driver your NHS identification to get your free journey.
🚍 All bus operators in the city are now running reduced services.
Trent Barton and NCT have recently made more revisions to their timetables and routes in service. Check with your travel operator to see if these affect you.
From Tuesday 14 April Trent Barton services C1 and C2 will be reinstated.
🏥 CT4N are currently operating the 14, 18, 29, Medilink, L1, L2, L4, L9, L14, W1 services.
🚍 This Good Friday CT4N will be operating a special Saturday service on the L1, L2, L4, L9, L14 routes. There will be no services operating on Easter Monday.
From Tuesday 14 April the L1 will be suspended. The L2, L4, L9 and L19 will continue to operate to a Saturday timetable.
The Medilink, W1, and Easylink will continue to operate on a Monday-Friday schedule.
🚊 Nottingham’s tram network is currently operating a Sunday service.
🚆 All train operators are running on reduced timetables and all enclosed waiting rooms at stations have closed until further notice.
All Northern services from Nottingham have been suspended.
The EMR ticket station at Nottingham Station will be open at reduced hours:
🕒 Monday-Saturday: 5am - 9:30pm
🕒 Sunday: 7:15am - 9pm
EMR are doing some major route improvement works between Market Harborough and Bedford on Saturday 11 April. Buses will replace trains in both directions. For more info check here...

Cycling
🚴 Cycling is a great form of exercise and good for your mental health too. However, please follow guidelines on physical distancing and keep at least 2 metres apart and not in groups. Only ride on routes you know well, that are close to home and within your ability level. 🚴 If you share your bike with people of the same household, ensure you follow government guidelines on cleaning surfaces, such as handlebars, avoid touching your face, wash your hands with soap and water for at least 20 seconds, especially after using your bike, and don’t forget to wash any gloves you are wearing.
RideWise Emergency Bike Bank
Ridewise have launched an Emergency Bike Bank to support essential workers who are struggling to get to their homes, communities or workplace due to the current restrictions and reductions of public transport services.
Help them by donating to their fundraiser or by donating a bike that can be used by someone who needs help during these difficult times.

Tuesday 14 April - Thursday 16 April: Woodborough Road Three way lights at the junction of The Wells Road for sewer realignment.
Tuesday 14 April - Friday 17 April: Cranmer Street Three way lights at the junction with St Anns Hill Road for sewer realignment.
Tuesday 14 April - Wednesday 15 April: A52 between the Bramcote and Priory roundabouts There will be a full Eastbound closure from 8pm - 6am while Highways England carry out safety improvement works. A full signed diversion will be in place.
Thursday 16 April - Friday 16 April: A52 between the Bramcote and Priory roundabouts There will be a full Westbound closure from 8pm - 6am while Highways England carry out safety improvement works. A full signed diversion will be in place.

Clifton Bridge continues to operate under one eastbound Lane. Highways England are continuing investigations.
