As Attorney General, one of Rob’s top priorities is addressing the gun violence epidemic and keeping Californians safe.
As Attorney General, one of Rob’s top priorities is ending the gun violence epidemic. No one — especially not our kids — should have to live in fear of being the next victim of a mass shooting or other gun violence incident.
In the last two weeks alone, Rob took three actions to address this deadly issue:
- He met with local leaders from the Bay Area and Central Coast for a roundtable discussion on gun violence in San Jose. This is the third in a series of statewide roundtables designed to bring community organizations and state officials together to find effective solutions.
- He issued an amicus brief in support of Massachusetts’ assault weapons and large-capacity magazine ban.
- He secured a decision from the U.S. Court of Appeals in Doe v. Bonta, which will allow the state of California to continue sharing data with qualified gun violence researchers, empowering us to continue identifying sources of and appropriate responses to this violent epidemic.
Rob knows there is no single solution to prevent gun violence, which is why he’s following the data and supporting a variety of commonsense gun reform measures to prevent shootings and save lives both here and across the country.
If you support his work to end the gun violence epidemic and make our communities safer, pitch in a grassroots contribution of $5 or more today to help him keep fighting for the safety and well-being of every Californian.
