The Project reduces or eliminates protections for religious freedoms, privacy, safety, and the environment that we’ve relied on for decades. Their plan starts by saying they want to “dismantle the administrative state...” and to accomplish this, they would install an authoritarian leader who can dictate the nation’s policy agenda and strong-arm the government to fall in line. Under Project 2025:
Healthcare rights: the government may become more involved in individual healthcare decisions.
Environmental regulations: some environmental protections could be reversed, including those that protect air and water quality.
Education: federal funding for education would be significantly reduced and the Department of Education would be eliminated. This could cause significant hardship for many families and likely reduce opportunities for many students
Department of Justice: the DOJ would be gutted so that only loyalists to the President would be hired or retained, and investigations by the FBI could then be directly terminated or ordered by the President.
Federal jobs and agencies: safety regulators and others whose jobs have been non-political and merit-based to date could be fired for not being loyal to the President’s agenda. Many federal agencies could also be dismantled.
Religious freedom: the federal government would change its policies to endorse a single religion
And there’s more! Unless we all take action in November, these drastic changes could become effective under a new MAGA-dominated administration.
