Helping kids stay safe when routines are disrupted.

As our global and local communities respond to COVID-19, ECPAT-USA's work to protect vulnerable children continues. Our office in New York City has become virtual and remains productive, and our main priority is strategizing ways to help kids remain safe in times when normal routines are disrupted.

** KEEPING TEENS SAFE ONLINE
------------------------------------------------------------
[link removed]

ECPAT-USA knows that in times of crisis, the sexual exploitation and trafficking of children skyrockets. During this pandemic, it is imperative that we protect children on and offline. Our new guide ([link removed]) is meant to help youth stay safe online during the COVID-19 outbreak and will be followed by a guide for parents and educators. Share the guide with your family, friends and teachers and follow the campaign on Instagram ([link removed]) .

** PROMOTING LEGISLATION TO PROTECT KIDS
------------------------------------------------------------

[link removed]

During these uncharted and challenging times, we are continuing our mission to enact strong policies aimed to end exploitation and trafficking. Our government relations and public policy division ([link removed]) is continuing to meet with members of Congress and their staff virtually to provide guidance on and advocate for legislation that will protect kids. You can take action today by contacting your senator and asking them to support the EARN IT Act ([link removed]) .

** TRAINING HOTEL ASSOCIATES
------------------------------------------------------------

Our online anti-trafficking training for the hotel industry, “Your Role in Preventing Human Trafficking: Recognize the Signs ([link removed]) ,” is now available for free on our site. The course is designed to teach associates the signs and how to respond to instances of suspected trafficking and was produced by Marriott International ([link removed]) in collaboration with ECPAT-USA, Polaris ([link removed]) and the American Hotel and Lodging Association ([link removed]) .

** HONORING LEADERS IN THE FIGHT
------------------------------------------------------------

[link removed]

We recognize this is an extraordinarily busy time for our friends and partners, particularly those in the hospitality and travel industries. Stay tuned as we reimagine our Freedom Awards ([link removed]) in an upcoming festive and informative virtual program. We are thankful for the ways each of you have continued to support our work fighting sex trafficking and exploitation.
