Oldham needs more Foster Carers
Oldham is facing a serious shortage of foster parents, and we're reaching out for help. We're looking for caring people who can provide loving homes for children in need.
Next week marks the start of the national #FosterCareFortnight campaign, running from Monday 13 May to Sunday 26 May. This campaign aims to raise awareness about fostering and its positive impact on lives.
This year's theme, #FosteringMoments, celebrates the meaningful moments that shape fostering journeys, whether they're big milestones or small everyday experiences. These moments help build confidence, safety, and create lasting memories for children.
Don't miss our online event on Wednesday 22 May, from 6.30 to 7.15pm, where you can learn about fostering and the support available for carers. To book your place, email [email protected].
Could you consider opening your heart and home to a child in need? Oldham urgently needs more people to step forward. If fostering has ever crossed your mind, call 0161 770 6600 or learn more here
Your decision could truly change someone's life for the better.

With fantastic trails suitable for all types of hikers, the upcoming warm weather adds to the appeal.
Experienced hikers can take on more challenging trails comfortably over a couple of days. Families and beginners might prefer one of the seven recommended easier routes, like those around Dunwood Park or Diggle.
You can easily find these routes and more on the All Trails app, which also provides live weather updates and alternative paths.
Remember to wear sturdy shoes, bring water, keep your dogs on a leash, and check the forecast, especially if you're heading to the moors.
