Friend,
Today, as we celebrate Child Care Providers Day, we are reminded of the vital role that child care plays in supporting our families and nurturing our youngest learners. It's a day to recognize the dedication and hard work of child care providers across our nation, who often go above and beyond to ensure our children have a safe, nurturing environment to grow and thrive.
But the reality is that our child care system is facing significant challenges. Too many families struggle to afford quality child care, and too many providers struggle to make ends meet. This isn't just a problem for families and providers—it's a problem for our economy and our future.
That's why I'm reaching out to you today. We all have a role to play in ensuring that every family can afford quality child care and that every provider is fairly compensated for their invaluable work.
Federal funding for child care is critical to achieving this goal. By investing in child care, we can create jobs, support working families, and give every child the opportunity to succeed. We can also ensure women don’t have to choose between their families and their work. But we can't do it alone. We need your help to win back the House this November and make sure we have a Congressional majority that will prioritize reinstating the full Child Tax Credit and finding ways to support providers—as we did through stabilization grants passed mid-pandemic.
Will you stand with us and support our fight to ensure everyone has access to child care and that providers make a fair wage?
