Dear John,
We invite you to read one of our latest blog posts about Neighbourhood voices, a project which is part of the Let's End Poverty movement.
Listen to the Neighbourhood Voices in Halifax
Neighbourhood voices is an opportunity for communities to come together and host meaningful conversations about their hopes, dreams and challenges and the action they would like to see at the General Election.
One of the latest Neighbourhood Voices activities to be held was in Halifax, hosted by a group called Mum's on a Mission in a former betting shop that is now home to Halifax Unity.
Over the course of two hours, they spoke about housing, transport, racism, the mental health crisis, the cost of living scandal, but also hope.
“Because of this situation with housing, many people’s mental health is deteriorating. How can you work well, knowing you have all these problems? People’s wellbeing is being burnt out. It’s a vicious cycle with many different factors.”
Ashleigh May from Mum's on a Mission
