Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu Responds to Biden Blocking Aid to Country

Spencer Brown: Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu released a video message on Thursday following President Joe Biden’s inexplicable and shameful decision to further abandon Israel by blocking needed military aid to our greatest ally in the Middle East. “We are on the eve of Independence Day,” Netanyahu said ahead of the May 14th anniversary of Israel’s birth. “In the War of Independence 76 years ago, we were few against many,” he reminded. “We had no weapons, there was an arms embargo on Israel, but with the greatness of the soul, bravery, and unity within us — we won.” Moving to the present, the PM reported that “today, we are much stronger, we are determined, and we are united to defeat our enemy and those who seek our souls” Netanyahu declared. “I already said that if we have to – we will fight tooth and nail,” he pledged (Townhall). PM Benjamin Netanyahu: If we have to stand alone, we will stand alone and win (X).

USC Academic Senate Censures President, Provost for Handling of Pro-Terrorism Protests
Axios: The body representing University of Southern California faculty voted Wednesday to censure the university’s president and provost over their handling pro-Palestinian protests on campus. The move comes after USC canceled its valedictorian’s commencement speech and later scrapped its main commencement ceremony following the arrest of nearly 100 people on campus during a pro-Palestinian protest. University administrators across the U.S. have cracked down on protests over the Israel-Hamas war in Gaza, with demonstrations being met with police force, arrests, suspensions and threats of expulsion. 21 members of the USC Academic Senate voted in favor of censuring the university’s president, Carol Folt, and provost, Andrew Guzman. Seven opposed and six abstained. The resolution faculty voted on cited “widespread dissatisfaction and concern among the faculty about administrative actions and decisions” regarding the recent events, including the removal of protesters from campus (Axios). KTLA: The resolution also recognized the senate’s endorsement of immediately creating a task force to investigate “campus events over the last several months related to the conflict in the Middle East” and file a public report on the findings by mid-September (KTLA).

President Biden Dismisses Impact Rising Grocery Prices Has on Citizens: "They have the money to spend"
Daily Mail: President Joe Biden stubbornly refused to admit Americans’ struggles with inflation might cost him the election in a rare interview Wednesday. A growing economy could inspire confidence in Biden’s leadership ahead of the election, but the issue of persistent inflation could ruin that. Biden defended his handling of inflation. Polls show voters are nervous and critical of Biden’s handling of the economy and anchor Erin Burnett reminded him that grocery prices are up 30 percent. But Biden, in his interview with CNN, claimed the polls are wrong and Americans struggling with inflation have more cash in their pockets (Daily Mail). RNC Research: CNN: “Grocery prices are up 30%+ … that’s a real day-to-day pain that people feel…” BIDEN: “They have the money to spend!” Then he repeats the debunked lie about Snickers bars and “corporate greed” (X).

Democrats Urge Biden to Take Executive Action to Secure Southern Border
CBS: A group of House Democrats facing a tough campaign cycle has called on President Biden to take executive action on the United States’ border with Mexico. The legislators from Minnesota, Arizona, Nevada, Pennsylvania and Michigan, among other states, urged Biden in a letter first obtained by CBS News to “immediately take further action to restore order at the Southern border and fix our broken immigration system.” Mr. Biden has faced harsh criticism from Republicans and from some within his own party over his approach to immigration and the border ahead of November’s general election. That dynamic is playing out as Mr. Biden runs against former President Donald Trump, his presumptive Republican challenger, for another term (CBS). Townhall: Angelo Fernández Hernández, a White House spokesperson, responded to the letter in an email, claiming that “congressional Republicans chose to put partisan politics ahead of our national security, and rejected what border agents have said they need.” Reports broke that Biden administration plans to propose a new rule aimed at speeding up the asylum claims process for some illegal aliens (Townhall).

Judge Declines to Dismiss Gun Charges Facing Hunter Biden
USA Today: A federal appeals court on Thursday rejected Hunter Biden’s request to dismiss his gun charges in Delaware, clearing the way for a June trial. Biden’s lawyer, Abbe Lowell, said he would keep fighting to dismiss the case. “In reviewing the panel’s decision, we believe the issues involved are too important and further review of our request is appropriate,” Lowell said in a statement. U.S. District Judge Maryellen Noreika had refused to dismiss the charges against Biden, who allegedly lied about an addiction to drugs when buying a gun in 2018. Biden then appealed with three arguments, including that he shouldn’t face a trial after a plea agreement fell apart last July and that prosecutors are being vindictive because of political pressure from Republicans to prosecute the president’s son (USA Today). Reporter Nick Sortor: An appeals court has DENIED Hunter Biden’s request to dismiss his gun charges. Hunter’s throwing a fit that the sweetheart plea deal his father’s DOJ offered was shot down by Judge Noreika. Now, Hunter’s set to go to trial in June on these felonies (X).

Donald Trump Unloads on President Biden for Pulling Aid From Israel During Rafah Campaign
Daily Wire: Former President Trump blasted President Biden after Biden accused Israel of attacking population centers and threatened to withhold military aid to the Jewish state if Israel attacked Rafah, the last stronghold of the terrorist group Hamas. Biden told CNN’s Erin Burnett in reference to 2,000-pound bombs the U.S. has supplied Israel, “Civilians have been killed in Gaza as the consequence of those bombs and other ways in which they go after population centers,” despite the fact that Israel does not target “population centers” and takes exhaustive steps to warn civilians that they need to leave specific areas before they conduct military operations (Daily Wire). Donald Trump: Crooked Joe Biden, whether he knows it or not, just said he will withhold weapons from Israel as they fight to eradicate Hamas Terrorists in Gaza. Hamas murdered thousands of innocent civilians, including babies, and are still holding Americans hostage, if the hostages are still alive. Yet Crooked Joe is taking the side of these terrorists, just like he has sided with the Radical Mobs taking over our college campuses, because his donors are funding them (Truth Social).

Biden’s $7.5 Billion EV Infrastructure Failure
Spencer Brown: After taking office in 2021, President Joe Biden realized that it was quite difficult to force Americans to trade in their gas-powered vehicles for electric ones in places where EV chargers didn’t exist — so he threw $7.5 billion at the issue as an “investment” in building out a network of EV chargers. That chunk of money paid by hardworking Americans was part of Biden’s pledge to ensure 500,000 EV charger stations were opened in the U.S. by 2030. Well, it’s now 2024, and Biden’s forced transition continues to fail spectacularly at taxpayer expense (Townhall). Washinton Post: That program has only delivered seven open charging stations with a total of 38 spots where drivers can charge their vehicles. The funding should be enough to build up to 20,000 charging spots or around 5,000 stations, according to analysis from the EV policy analyst group Atlas Public Policy. And as the Biden administration rolls out its new rules for emissions from cars and trucks — which will require a lot more electric cars and hybrids on the road — the sluggish build-out could slow the transition to electric cars (Washington Post).

GOP Introduces Legislation Requiring Voters to Show Proof of Citizenship
Katie Pavlich: Ahead of the 2024 presidential election, House Republicans introduced legislation Wednesday requiring individuals to provide proof of U.S. citizenship in order to vote in American elections. It is currently illegal for non-citizens to vote in federal elections but there is no requirement preventing states from registering non-citizens of illegal aliens to vote. Republicans in the Senate have also introduced the legislation and are urging Majority Leader Chuck Schumer to bring the bill up for debate and eventually a floor vote (Townhall). Speaker Mike Johnson: Because America’s borders are wide open and Democrats want to turn noncitizens into voters, Congress must act to protect our federal elections (X). Senator Mike Lee: The SAVE Act would ensure that only U.S. citizens can vote in federal elections. This shouldn’t be controversial. It didn’t used to be in doubt. It is now. Please help me protect the sanctity of your vote (X).

China Prepares to Introduce Students to Military Training
Nikkei Asia: China wants to promote awareness of national defense in children as young as elementary school under proposed legislation that would require military training at high schools and universities. The aim is to teach all members of society the “theory, knowledge and skills associated with national defense,” according to draft revisions to the National Defense Education Law. The move to amend the law for the first time since 2018 comes amid rising tensions with the U.S. over Taiwan and the South China Sea. Some universities have already allowed students to train with live ammunition and tanks. The draft calls for instilling some degree of national defense awareness among elementary school children. Middle schoolers are to learn basic knowledge and skills, while high school and university students would undergo mandatory military training. This education and training would be guided by the government and the People’s Liberation Army (Nikkei Asia). VOA News: The changes follow a string of other national security moves by Beijing over the past year. Those include last year’s passage of revisions to an anti-espionage law, a broad and ongoing public campaign to counter foreign spies and changes to the country’s Patriotic Education Law, which went into effect in January (VOA News).

San Francisco Appoints Drag Performer, Activist to Direct “Office of Transgender Initiatives”
National Review: San Francisco Mayor London Breed appointed drag performer “Honey Mahogany” as director of the city’s Office of Transgender Initiatives, which went into effect Monday. In 2020, Mahogany became the “first non-male identified transgender person elected to the body that oversees the San Francisco Democratic Party,” and became chair of the party in 2021. Mahogany, who was been an activist for over two decades, is a “founding queen” of Drag Story Hour and was one of three “black trans women” in 2017 to found The Transgender District, a legally recognized Cultural District in San Francisco. The Office of Transgender Initiatives, founded in 2017, “advocates for and uplifts the voices and needs of transgender, gender non-conforming, intersex, and 2-spirit San Franciscans by acting as a bridge between communities and local government in the pursuit of equity (National Review). Mayor London Breed: In San Francisco, we continue to uplift trans leaders who are fighting for the community. I’m excited that Honey Mahogany will be coming on board to serve as our new Director of the Office of Transgender Initiatives. Honey has been a fierce advocate for trans people and the broader LGBT community, and I know she’s ready to get to work advancing San Francisco’s leadership in protecting and advancing trans rights and trans lives (X).
