Dallas city council members ignore the vagrancy problem.
Public safety is a civil right.
Don't make it easy for people to live on the streets.
NGOs Lie to Dallas Leaders About Homeless Count

Homelessness has only gotten worse in North Texas and "Housing Forward,"
which is the lead agency of Dallas and Collin counties’ homeless
response system, is driving the sinking ship. Despite recent

pushing skewed data, the real story can be seen by visiting Dallas’s own

e2c27bf073 311 website for reporting homeless encampments, and simply by
taking a stroll through our downtown area which is riddled with vagrant
waste and panhandlers.
All over the city, Dallas struggles to keep people off the streets. This
is directly due to corrupt NGOs and agencies like “Housing Forward” who
serve to enable the lifestyles and addictions of panhandlers preying on
commuters' sympathy, and those currently breaking the law by violating
our city's ban on urban camping.
We are losing Dallas to vagrancy and crime brought on by poor
enforcement, and a Leftist City Council who refuses to properly staff
and fund our police department. Showing up to be heard is vitally
important in advocating for any substantial, positive change.

Auto Thefts Plague Downtown Dallas in April
Motor thefts are up in downtown, with over 291 incidents in DPD sector
130. Dallas City Council must recognize this as a massive problem and
fix it immediately. Dallas stands to lose its powerful economic position
so long as crime continues to wreak havoc through the City!

Zero Action Taken on Abandoned Hospital Purchased by City...
STILL
2929 South Hampton Road, an abandoned hospital purchased by the City
Council years ago to create homeless housing, still sits vacant with
little action taken by the council. A microcosm of the systemic issues
that face our city, inept leadership remains stuck in decision
paralysis!

No City Officials Fired Following Major Screw Up
If you mess something up fundamental to your job, you will likely get
fired. Not when you work for the City of Dallas! Ironically, a
permitting office for Dallas was not fully permitted (let that sink in)
and violated almost 40 fire codes just last month! Assistant City
Manager Majed Al-Ghafry and Development Services Director Andrew
Espinoza "accepted responsibility" and were "repeatedly thanked" for
their failures - OUTRAGEOUS. Our city leadership is an absolute JOKE!

Tracking Illegal Camps:
[link removed] Executive Director Joseph Porter broadcasts
on Facebook Live each week, documenting vagrant camps in the city and
bringing you real-time updates on the state of homelessness and the
apathetic response from Dallas city officials. This week, Joseph went
live from Dallas City Hall to showcase the area's decline around it.
Watch how he found over ten vagrant camps in under 15 minutes in the
same block as City Hall.

 District 2 Councilman Jesse Moreno
"Skid Row Camp"
This camp in Jesse Moreno’s District 2 has been dubbed “Skid Row Camp.”
One only needs to walk less than five minutes from City Hall to discover
Dallas’s attempt at recreating the infamous ‘Skid Row’ from Los Angeles.
This should be wholly unacceptable, yet our City Council encourages this
behavior through horrible policy decisions. Expect sites like these to
get worse, barring substantial political change.
  District 11 Councilwoman Jaynie Schultz
"North Dallas Freeway Camp"
This camp in Jaynie Schultz’s District 11 has earned the title “North
Dallas Freeway Camp.” This camp on the access road for Interstate 635 is
just one of many similar sites. District 11 is filled to the brim with
Panhandlers at every street corner. They have set up encampments
following the interstate and at just about every underpass.
 District 6 Councilman Omar Narvaez
"QT Scourge Camp"
We named this camp in Omar Narvaez’s District 6 “QT Scourge Camp.”
Located across the street from a QuickTrip (QT) with considerable
traffic, customers are greeted by an ugly sight of piled-up garbage and
large numbers of vagrants. This camp has persisted since last year, and
it has only gotten worse. City Council seems deadset on allowing spots
like these to continue to fester.

Statement:
Keep Dallas Safe exists to address crime and homelessness in Dallas with
the goal of transforming Dallas into the safest large city in Texas for
residents and businesses. We aim to have a City Council that prioritizes
crime rate which directly determines the quality of life in Dallas. We
do this by fighting against the "defund the police" movement, holding
accountable our city leaders' efforts towards lowering district crime
rates, and highlighting our city's homelessness problems by pushing for
enforcement of the prohibition of urban camping.
