Paula and I have made a big decision and we wanted to share it with you.

Today, I am announcing my candidacy for Lieutenant Governor.

I didn’t expect this. I didn’t expect Lt Gov. Cyrus Habib to retire.

But the times urgently call out for pubic service.  They call for us to move past personal invective and to double down on our commitment to fairness and decency. As the presiding officer of the State Senate, the Lt. Gov. is in a unique position to help set a tone of civility that we desperately need.

I bring my lifetime of experiences to this endeavor including service in the legislature, as Chief of Staff to Governor Booth Gardner and co-founder/CEO of TVW, and representing the 10th District in the U.S. Congress. I also have years of starting and growing businesses in the private sector. Experience counts!
