Dear A.,

Members of Congress are speaking out in opposition to the Biden administration's announcement that it has delayed an arms transfer to Israel and threatened to stop future transfers of offensive weapons.

Senator Chris Coons spoke on the Senate floor today about what he said to Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu during his last in-person meeting: "You don't just have right to defend the Israeli people against Hamas, you have the obligation...You have go after them. You have to finish the job. You have to go into Rafah."

Senator Jacky Rosen said, “We need to provide Israel with unconditional security assistance…The Administration should not do anything that undermines Israel’s ability to defeat Hamas and address mounting threats across the region.”

Congressman Don Davis said, "The Biden Administration's delay to transfer arms could further fuel violence and destabilize the region."

Republican Senators also held a

press conference today led by Senator Lindsey Graham to condemn the move, which included statements from John Thune, Susan Collins, Jim Risch, Joni Ernst, Ted Cruz, Roger Marshall, Steve Daines, Ted Budd, and Katie Britt.

IDF evacuates 150,000 civilians from eastern Rafah, 50 Hamas terrorists killed

David Horovitz on the 'sinister' Hamas proposal

Earlier this week, Hamas announced that it had agreed a hostage deal. However it quickly became clear that it was a stunt by Hamas, agreeing to its own proposal.

In an

op-ed in the Times of Israel, David Horovitz lays out the terms of the Hamas-proposed deal, how it differed from the "extremely generous" offer backed by the United States, and why Israel rejected it.

As Horovitz writes, the terror group's proposal was “calculated to ensure that Hamas secures further key, immensely far-reaching goals without having to meet the prime Israeli requirement for a deal: the release of all the hostages.

In fact, Hamas can abrogate the deal, with all of its key goals achieved and then some, while continuing to hold almost all of the hostages.”
