As an extension of the ground-breaking research that PACT piloted in 2013, “And Minnesota Boys, Too,” is a new report that examines the perspectives of nearly 100 direct service providers who have worked with male survivors of child sexual abuse or exploitation. The report explores the journeys of affected boys – highlighting barriers to care, risk factors, and referral pathways for this underserved population – and provides recommendations for gender-inclusive and trauma-informed support services.
A deep dive into the experience of Minnesota boys, the findings also mirror the ECPAT's Global Boys Initiative, and confirm the urgent need for vital policy reforms to nurture resilience and safety among this group. In observance of the International Day of the Boy Child, this report is essential reading those who care about boys in Minnesota, in the U.S. and throughout the world.Â
