May is Women's Health Month, team!
This month and beyond, it's crucial that we recognize and reflect on the ongoing challenges women face in accessing essential health care services.
Since the overturning of Roe v. Wade, a loud minority of extremist legislators have set a dangerous precedent that ignores science and endangers the lives of countless women.
Women across America are encountering dangerous barriers every day such as draconian restrictions to reproductive care and threatened bans to certain forms of contraception and prenatal care. These challenges are worsened by inadequate funding and resources, making it even harder for women to access the care they need and deserve.
But let me be clear: Decisions about a woman's body, including access to legal and often life-saving abortion care, should be left between her and her doctor, free from political interference. As an original co-sponsor of the Women's Health Protection Act and a member of the Pro-Choice Caucus, I'm committed to fighting for equitable, accessible health care for every American.
We cannot allow radical politicians and judges to turn back the clock on women's rights. If you stand with me in the fight to protect women's rights and ensure access to comprehensive health care for all, add your name next to mine by signing my petition today: [link removed]
