She just said that pushbacks on DEI are attacks on democracy!
I don’t think she knows the definition of democracy, so I’ll give her a refresher: it’s a system where every voice has equal weight, regardless of what they look like or where they come from.
The truth is - and I’m saying this as a minority - DEI goes against everything our democracy stands for.
I don’t expect special treatment because I’m Asian or because I’m an immigrant.
When I was growing up, it didn’t matter what you looked like. All that mattered was how hard you worked. THAT is how America should work.
