As you may know, wolves are currently under federal protection in many states, including Colorado. This means that they may not be hunted and it is a federal crime to do so. The protections exist because wolves in the United States were hunted to near extinction.
Now, Lauren Boebert sponsored a recently passed bill called the Trust the Science Act to get them delisted from federal protections.
There are currently only 10 wolves in the entire state and in 2020 that number had gotten as low as TWO.
The bill has zero chance of being signed by President Biden because allowing wolves to be hunted again would be the death sentence for them here in Colorado. I believe in environmental stewardship and protecting our animals and ecosystems. Killing wolves would be wrong and it’s gross that Lauren Boebert wants to pass this legislation.

There’s something very dark about wanting to roll back protections from a group of animals that are nearly extinct already. And as a massive lover of nature, it really goes against everything I stand for and believe.
