Hey John,
As you probably already know, our country is in the midst of a severe respiratory health emergency brought on by the spread of COVID-19. This virus poses a particular risk to those who have underlying breathing conditions, like asthma.
There has never been a good time to loosen the protections that ensure clean air, but it is hard to imagine a worse time than the present moment.
One would hope the Trump administration would do its job and protect the public. But, rather than spending time doing everything in their power to stop this pandemic, the Trump administration is rolling back the very environmental protections that keep us safe and the air we breathe clean.
The Trump administration’s Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) is working against the best interests of our environment by indefinitely suspending enforcement of pollution limits from refineries and power plants nationwide, rolling back the life-saving Clean Car Standards, and much more.
Instead of protecting our citizens, the EPA is doing the bidding of polluters like Big Oil in the middle of a pandemic.
Will you tell your legislators and EPA Administrator Andrew Wheeler to stop rolling back public health protections during a pandemic, for the health of the American people and the environment? |
