Team, in the last priorities survey our team sent to our supporters, most people indicated that gun safety measures were a top priority. Governor Kathy Hochul agrees, and that’s why she’s taking bold action to keep New Yorkers safe.

In New York’s latest budget, nearly $350 million is dedicated to continuing New York’s efforts to reduce and prevent gun violence.

The Governor also worked with the legislature last year to strengthen New York's nation-leading gun safety laws. These laws are designed to increase public safety and promote responsible, legal gun ownership.
