Fellow Republicans,

140 days until early voting begins at the office of your election authority and temporary locations designated by the election authority. Take the pledge to Bank Your Vote

Also, please consider becoming even more active in our collective efforts to elect more Illinois Republicans, which is the best way to make Illinois government less radical, less expensive  and more functional; such as by volunteering to serve as an election judge, poll watcher and/or as a  precinct, township or ward official (called precinct committeeman or PC downstate); or by helping us continue to rebuild the Illinois Republican Party by financial contributions. Since I was first elected State Chair 3 years ago, we have doubled the State Party’s  operational capabilities. We need to double them again this year and next.

If you are receiving annoying text solicitations from State GOP Membership Services or a similar name threatening to terminate your GOP membership, those texts are not from the Illinois Republican Party! We do not solicit via text messaging. If you read the fine print, you will see that those text messages are from a national organization called RSLC. We have complained that such messages are misleading in that they imply they are from the State Party, which again they are not. Other State parties have made similar complaints to no avail thus far.

Our State Convention is almost here, we are excited to be in Collinsville on May 24-25.  Our State Convention is held every four years and the committee will select: (a) its RNC National Committeeman and Committeewoman and (b) 10 At-Large National Convention Delegates plus 10 Alternates for the Republican National Convention in Milwaukee on July 15-18. Thank you to everyone that submitted your applications.

The Illinois Republican Party State Convention is a great opportunity to network and build relationships with campaign leaders, political candidates, and elected officials.  It’s also enjoyable to meet and chat politics with other grassroots leaders and patriots. For more information, visit https://rcca.gop/convention/.

This link provides information for you to register, secure a hotel room, and all kinds of other great information. Discounted hotel rates are still available, however, they are booking up quickly. Just reference the State Convention at the time of booking and get it done as soon as possible.

To be a delegate to the State Convention, you must be approved and appointed by your County Chairman. Please reach out to your local county Republican organization. Even if you are not selected as a delegate, our state convention is welcome to all Republicans that register in advance. Keep in mind, only delegates will be allowed to vote in the main session. Please visit our State Convention website for registration, hotel options, etc.

Additionally for Friday May 24 beginning at 11 AM, we have great training sessions lined up with instructors from the Leadership Institute, Republican National Committee, County Clerks, Election Integrity experts, our walk app Numinar, Artificial Intelligence, and much more.  All helpful tools and resources to help our fellow Republicans be effective ambassadors and warriors for the Republican Party. There’s also a Cubs vs Cardinals game that you may want to enjoy that weekend.

Please make sure to thank our hosts, the Madison County Republicans, for having us. Our friends at the Collinsville Township Republicans will be welcoming all convention attendees on Thursday, May 23 as folks travel in.  This will be a great time to pick up your credentials to avoid the long line on Friday. We look forward to seeing you.

We examined the voting records of all of the commissioned Republican election judges in the City of Chicago and in suburban Cook County. It is apparent that far too many Republican election judges actually have a history of voting in Democratic primaries. We simply must do a better job of filling our Republican election judge positions with actual Republicans. If we do not fill these positions, the Democrats will. I encourage any Republican who lives in Cook County to take the extra step in participating in the electoral process by becoming an election judge. Sign up to be an election judge!

Calling all Republicans, Conservatives, and Patriots. We need all eyes on the ballot! Election judges serve a crucial role in ensuring fair and transparent elections. We need all eyes on the ballot and encourage all Illinois Republicans to sign up here. We encourage all your friends, family members, neighbors, and colleagues to serve as election judges for the general election! We also will have a heavy emphasis on more election integrity training over zoom and in person to better educate voters on the process, as well as gauge interest to serve as election judges or poll watchers. The overall goal of our election integrity efforts is to make it easy to vote and hard to cheat. Sign up to be an election judge or poll watcher in your county!

To find out how you can help save Illinois, go to the Illinois Election Integrity Program website at ieip.org. Volunteer for as little or as much as you are able! Volunteers can help by joining the Illinois Election Integrity Program. In case you have recently moved or just wish to check your registration status go to https://ova.elections.il.gov/RegistrationLookup.aspx to make sure that your voter registration is up to date ahead of the crucial 2024 election cycle. Please reach out to CJ, our Election Integrity Director for further assistance.

House Republicans Respond to Democrats’ Political Games

Democrats passed brazen legislation in the Illinois House to change election law to their own self-serving political advantages, stifle the ability of the Republican party to fill office vacancies, and place meaningless non-binding questions on the ballot to drive Democrat voters to the polls.

The bill, SB2412, was filed at the last minute and favors self-serving political corruption over any semblance of transparency. In protest to the process and content of the measure, House Republican lawmakers stood united in voting “present” on the bill. Following that vote, House Republican Leader Tony McCombie held a press conference to reiterate that House Republicans will not play this political game House Democrats are prioritizing this spring.

“Serious legislators should want to give time for the public to understand the impact on our state,” said Leader McCombie. “We’re used to seeing this kind of maneuvering on May 31, but we don’t understand the sense of urgency right now, unless the end goal is to stifle the democratic process through the changes on slating candidates.”
