Hi John,

There’s good news in the work to stop the breast cancer crisis: we have the solutions.

Now we need the political will to implement them.

And we’re asking you to take action with us today.

We know that toxic chemical exposures in our environment are linked to an increased risk for breast cancer. We have the science on endocrine disruptors, such as PFAS, which can interfere with hormonal activities and increase our risk of breast cancer. And we have data on carcinogens like benzene and polyaromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs), which are prevalent in emissions from fossil fuels and have been linked to an increased risk of breast cancer.

We know how to strengthen regulations to protect us from cancer-causing chemicals. And we know how to craft policy changes to demand the elimination of these chemicals, in our environment, and in products we use in our daily lives. And we know that comprehensive insurance coverage improves breast cancer outcomes and protects us from financial toxicity.

We must put these changes into legislation, and into practice.

That’s why we vet legislation, like the three we’re sharing with you today:

Take Action - Environmental Justice For All!
Take Action - CA Senate Bill 252!
Take Action - MBC Access to Care Act!

Our community of breast cancer activists is powerful. It’s how we’ve built the legacy of Breast Cancer Action. Demanding changes and achieving outsized political wins. We’ve always done this together, in direct action, and in relentlessly advocating for our community.

We won’t stop naming the solutions that will address and end breast cancer, and demanding the necessary changes from those in power to put our health first, and to make these changes today.

Add your name and join us today.

In action,

KR (they/she)
Executive Director
