Farah video-calling a loved one

Hi USO Supporter,

My name is Farah, and I’m an Army wife and mom to two young boys whose dad just returned from a long deployment. We all know my husband is keeping our country safe by serving, but that doesn’t make it any less hard on the boys or me. And I can tell you that not everyone understands what we go through as a military family with a deployed parent.

That’s why I’m so grateful to the USO for taking care of us and making sure we know we are loved and part of a military community.

This was my husband’s longest deployment yet, and it was unbelievably difficult. The USO’s support is critical for all of us.

They’re there for my husband during his deployments with care packages and snacks. And USO Centers provide reliable internet to call home, which is often the only way for us to stay connected at all. The USO Reading Program helps our boys deal with separation by listening to recorded stories from my husband, making it feel like “daddy is here reading to us at bedtime!”

We’re really thankful for the USO and for military supporters like you. Your support is a constant reminder that we’re not alone and that our family’s sacrifices are seen and appreciated — because serving our country isn’t just tough for soldiers like my husband; it’s a huge challenge for everyone they love.

That’s why, ahead of Military Spouse Appreciation Day tomorrow, I hope you can take a moment to help the USO continue the incredible work they do to support service members, military spouses and families like mine. Will you donate $29 or more now to help the USO continue serving all those who serve and sacrifice for our country?

Thank you for supporting the USO. My family and I are truly grateful.

Respectfully,

Farah
