Extremist Republicans' decades-long assault on Roe v. Wade was never just about abortion. It was always about exerting as much control as possible over women and their reproductive freedom.

Over 125 House Republicans have cosponsored legislation that would eliminate access to birth control and IVF. The same far-right judges that overturned Roe v. Wade are now hearing a case that could ban the widely-used, safe, and effective abortion pill, mifepristone. And just last week, Donald Trump said that he supports states having the ability to monitor women’s pregnancies and punish women who have an abortion.

Pat stood up to protect American freedoms, like a woman’s right to choose, in the Army and continues that fight now in Congress. Pat believes that decisions about when and with whom to have a child should be made by a woman alone — not the government. That’s why he’s introduced legislation to protect reproductive rights from anti-choice MAGA Republicans, and it’s why he’ll continue to fight to protect a woman’s right to choose in Congress.
