In today’s Race + Power newsletter, we look at the ways women are cultivating spaces that support each other in the workplace and beyond. First, we share two articles from Nonprofit Quarterly Magazine’s spring 2024 issue—one about how organizations are often built up by Black women on meager resources and little acknowledgment; the other offers language and insight about White woman archetypes so Black women can begin healing from racism in the workplace. Next, women in the United States are stepping up to support women in Haiti impacted by that country’s recent crises. Finally, a proposed bill would ban diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) in medical schools, threatening the healthcare of vulnerable communities.
