John,
When I first ran for Controller, I literally drove over 250,000 miles in my old Toyota Camry while campaigning across the state.
I still own a Toyota Camry (a hybrid), and I have every intention of hitting the road just as hard now that I’m running for governor in 2026.
I believe strongly that I need to understand who I will be representing. This means spending the extra days to have community conversations and meet with local leaders to understand what people are concerned about.
Running a campaign, especially in a state as diverse and all-encompassing as California, requires resources. In fact, the last winning gubernatorial campaign spent $24.2 million.
This will be one of the most expensive races in history, and it’s so important we have the resources we need to deliver on our mission: reaching voters where they are to make sure things start adding up again for Californians.
I’m sincerely working to earn your support, and that means covering every inch of California to see and hear first-hand what you need. I hope you can power my effort with a donation of $10, $25, $50, or $100.

I’ve dedicated my career to fighting for you, and my odometer proves it. But if I’m going to continue advocating for working families, I need you behind me every step (or mile) of the way.
So please consider donating whatever you can today to help my team leave nothing unturned in our fight to move California forward for all.
With gratitude,
Betty
