Once again, Justice Democrats incumbent and Squad member Rep. Ilhan Omar is facing racist, xenophobic attacks from the GOP.

This time, Republican Rep. Don Bacon is trying to censure Ilhan for speaking out in support of students’ safety at the Columbia University encampment.

We know what this censure attempt really is: a far-right political stunt meant to attack pro-peace progressives while distracting from the ongoing genocide in Gaza.

New polling from Zeteo and Data for Progress shows a majority of Democratic voters believe Israel is committing genocide, want a permanent ceasefire, and oppose colleges limiting the protests and freedom of speech of their students.

But Republicans and even some conservative Democrats in Congress would rather waste time attacking leaders like Ilhan who stand with the people.
