Friend, as you cherish the mom you love this Mother's Day, just a small bit of extra love for a mom like Betty can make a lasting impact. Betty fought hard and changed her own life for her baby’s future. Stories like hers are living proof, that love CAN change the world! And your compassion is part of that change. VOA programs, like those serving moms at Freedom House, rely on the support of friends like you. So, please if you haven’t yet, make your first monthly donation to Volunteers of America, for a mom’s future. A vet’s future. A child’s future. My Mother’s Day gift for year-round love and support Thank you so much! — Tanisha From: Tanisha at Volunteers of America Friend, As our weather warms up, I just love the “firsts”…the first curbside blooms, the first 75 degree day, the first tastes from an outside grill. Here's a story of a very special first: Meet Jeremiah! Jeremiah is the first baby born in 2024 at Freedom House, a regional center we run for pregnant and parenting women in crisis. The atmosphere at Freedom House, of hope and fresh starts, is palpable. It’s where little Jeremiah and his mom Betty found their new beginning, thanks to compassionate friends like you. At VOA, Betty started therapy and got the tools to overcome her traumas and dependencies. Because of her brave resolve, Jeremiah gets his best chance for a bright future. In this season of firsts, would you make your first monthly gift and save lives, like those at Freedom House? As little as 33 cents a day - $10/month - can provide shelter, meals and counseling for moms, babies and others to rebuild and thrive.
Jeremiah joins the ranks of more than 300 healthy babies born at VOA’s Freedom House. Precious and beautiful, every one of them. And the best part? Every baby under this roof is getting a secure and nurtured start at life! Donations are needed to keep centers and programs up and running, like Freedom House. Can we count on you? Sincere regards, Tanisha Smith |
