I’ve written to you before about how the rise of AI technology has brought about the possibility of new and concerning threats to our electoral process.

I spoke with Time magazine about this issue and told them that AI is not a new and independent threat in and of itself, but it is a means to amplify existing threats in a way we wouldn't even have thought seriously about five years ago.

As your Secretary of State, I've been at the forefront of addressing this issue. I’ve testified before a U.S. Senate committee on the subject - and last year, Minnesota became one of the first states to ban the use of AI-generated content in election materials. But our work is far from over.

We’re 6 months away from the election and I need your support to continue defending our elections from AI deep fakes and misinformation wherever it pops up. Will you please chip in $5 or whatever you can to help us respond to misinformation?
