John,
My name is Jordan Schreiber, and I’m the Director of National Outreach and Advocacy on The Trust for Public Land’s Federal Affairs team in Washington, D.C. I’m reaching out to you with important news from Capitol Hill.
Despite all that’s happened recently, business is still being carried out in our nation’s capital. My team is hard at work making sure our leaders on Capitol Hill don’t forget about public lands or the communities and jobs that depend on them. In the months ahead, we have a historic opportunity to achieve a long-standing goal: $900 million for the Land and Water Conservation Fund, our most important source of conservation funding.
The Federal Affairs team is not alone; everyone else at The Trust for Public Land is still hard at work as well. But in order to keep lobbying and mobilizing our advocates for eco-friendly legislation and protecting public land, we need your help.
John, we are preparing to fight for history-making legislation that will guarantee permanent funding for public land and national parks. I hope you will help give us the support we need to win that fight.
Our members have gotten us through uncertain times in the past, and I know we can count on you to get us through whatever difficulties lie ahead. So please, become a member now.
Thank you for your commitment to The Trust for Public Land.
Sincerely,
Jordan Schreiber
Director of National Advocacy and Outreach
