Perry Traditional Academy, the only high school in Pittsburgh's North Side, is one of the district’s smallest, serving about 430 students. Still, Perry was one of just two PPS high schools that saw an increase in its student population last year, even as districtwide enrollment continued to decline. Some groups attribute this feat to family engagement efforts led by the school staff and community organizations.
