Voter ID: Securing Our Greatest Election Security Threat
The battle for Voter ID rages on, and the House is stepping up to the plate with the Citizen Vote Protection Act, a beacon of hope in the fight to secure our electoral process. No longer will we tolerate unlawful discrimination or the hijacking of our ballot box by non-citizens.
While Democrats cry foul, arguing that Voter ID disenfranchises voters, the bipartisan Carter-Baker Commission has spoken loud and clear: Voter ID is a common-sense measure used in nearly 100 democracies without infringing upon rights. It's time for the United States to join the ranks of responsible democracies by ensuring that the right to vote remains sacred and reserved for citizens alone.
Yet, despite overwhelming evidence and recommendations, Democrats persist in their obstruction, filing lawsuits and employing scare tactics to prevent meaningful legislation. But we refuse to back down. The REAL ID Act, adapted for voting purposes, provides a clear path forward, requiring citizenship verification on all identification cards used for voting.
Enough is enough. We cannot afford to turn a blind eye to the most egregious breach of election security in our nation's history. It's time to end the leftist lawfare and threats of lawsuits by enshrining into law the requirement for proof of citizenship before receiving identification.
Every state must step up to the plate, passing laws to ensure that only citizens have access to the ballot box. We demand that voter rolls be purged of non-citizens, that identification cards indicate citizenship status, and that all voters present valid photo identification at the polls.
The time for action is now. Stand with us as we fight to uphold the integrity of our elections and protect the sanctity of the American vote.
Together, we will ensure that our Republic remains by the people, for the people, and of the people.
