Half of all voters want a closer UK-EU relationship - are you one
of them, John?
Seventy-four years ago today, on 9 May 1950, the 'Schuman
Declaration' was presented, an economic pact that sparked
the beginning of the greatest peace project in
history - the European Union. A project the UK has,
disastrously, withdrawn from.
It doesn't have to be this way. Our
latest mega-poll has found that half of all Brits
polled want a closer relationship with the EU. It's the
most popular choice in every constituency in Britain
- and among voters
of every party except Reform UK.
|
Eight years since the referendum and three years since Boris
Johnson's botched Brexit deal, no serious person argues that Brexit
has been good for the UK. A closer UK-EU relationship is not
only possible, it is essential to reverse
some of the damage that has been done. We must put Britain
on the path to a better future - voters want it and businesses need
it.
John, we need people like you who believe in the power of the
European project to advocate for a closer relationship with the EU.
Let's celebrate #EuropeDay together today - and help
whoever is in government, today and tomorrow, understand the value of
it.
