Assault weapons are disproportionately used in crimes involving multiple civilian deaths. Shooters have used assault rifles in our country's deadliest mass shootings: the communities of Sandy Hook, Orlando, Las Vegas, Uvalde, Parkland, and countless more are all too familiar with the devastation caused by weapons of war. It's time to act, before Washington are impacted too.
People who want to cause harm have easy access to military-style semi-automatic assault weapons and high-capacity magazines, which multiply casualties and cause widespread trauma and loss. These weapons of war do not belong on our streets.
This issue affects us all. We need you to to answer our urgent poll — we need to see how much support this policy has, so we can demand the Senate put forth the Assault Weapons Ban for a vote. Survivors of gun violence are counting on us to take action.
