Nearly three years ago, the Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors voted to close Men’s Central Jail. Today, they have still not created a clear, actionable plan for closing the facility.

While they deliberate, Men's Central continues to kill incarcerated people due to overcrowding, inadequate care, and a failure to offer meaningful alternatives to incarceration.
