By now you've probably heard a bit about what's on the line in this election. Our district is one of the most important battlegrounds in the nation, and it's one of the top targets for the national GOP and their dark money allies.

The tremendous national implications of this race aren't lost on me. But at the end of the day, that's not why I'm running. I'm running because this is my home too.

I have lived in this district, in the same house, for most of my life.

My parents didn't have a college education, and they never had much money. But they made a good life for us here, the same way so many Ohioans did: with hard work, perseverance, and the support of their community.

It's the honor of my life to represent my home community in Congress, friend.  My constituents are my friends and my neighbors. I go to work for them every day in Washington with the same fire I had when I was first elected.

Because here's the truth: the Heartland has been overlooked and underserved for too long.

That's why I'm fighting for real, transformative investments in communities like ours — investments that create good-paying jobs, protect our Great Lakes environment, and deliver a better future for working people everywhere.
