Why do some people think that the AstraZeneca COVID vaccine was taken off the market because it is dangerous?

[link removed] The decline in use of the AstraZeneca COVID vaccine is not because of lawsuits or blood clots, but rather because it hasn't been updated to deal with COVID variants, while other vaccines have.

So why was the AstraZeneca COVID vaccine, Vaxzevria, taken off the market?

The simple answer is that we simply don't need it anymore.

The AstraZeneca COVID vaccine was very useful when it first came out, but it hasn't been updated to deal with the latest COVID variants. And other vaccines that have been updated are in good supply, so again, we don't need the AstraZeneca COVID vaccine anymore.

What about the risk of thrombosis with thrombocytopenia ( [link removed] ) that was rarely associated with the AstraZeneca COVID vaccine?

Andrew Bridgen ( [link removed] ) is a Member of Parliament of the UK who often makes false claims about COVID vaccines that put our lives at risk.

It was a very rare side effect and much less than would occur if you actually got COVID.

So whatever you might hear from anti-vaccine influencers ( [link removed] ) , the AstraZeneca COVID vaccine was not withdrawn because it isn't safe or wasn't effective.
